"Dad on girls" was never actually about girls, it was about signalling support. Meanwhile, Tad Horvath, the character Scolari played on Girls, came out in the third season and moved to New York City. After being cast in Girls, Scolari appeared in The Good Fight, Evil, and Blue Bloods.
